The baby quilt is finished and I couldn’t be more pleased with the way it turned out.
I absolutely enjoyed making this quilt. First, there was no piecing so that meant I could just get right to the fun – quilting. And since the customer is my sister, I didn’t stress over making the right design choices. I just let it flow. Is it ‘perfect?’ No. But it looks beautiful and that’s what counts.
I adore these little hearts that are sprinkled here and there. They are so fun!
As you can see, I found a great gray for the binding. It is Kona Medium Gray. I think it is the perfect touch and gives a modern feel to the quilt.
I echoed some of the pebbles, which made them look like flowers so of course I had to add some leaves.
I know the front of the quilt is suppose to be the white, with the Minky on the back. But I love that Minky side *so* much, maybe it should be the front. I’m sure baby will love cuddling on the softer Minky side. 🙂
I already have an order for another one of these in a minty teal color. I have some time for that one (baby isn’t coming until June) but I can’t wait until I can start on it. I see so. much. more. Minky in my future!

The quilt is so beautiful… I am a bit confused though… the picture in your gallery… shows an entirely different quilt. Just a thought. But the whole clothe quilt is really amazing… great job!
This is fabulous!!! What a precious, precious gift.
Thank you Beth for this beautiful quilt!! Baby Madeline loves it!! Melissa gave it to us just before baby girl made her appearance last week!
This is so beautiful!
How did it miss this! It’s so beautiful! I’ve been doing so much straight line quilting lately, I’m afraid my free motion skills are rusty!
Beautiful! You’re such a talented quilter – I love your work!!
Beautifully done!
It’s so elegant, yet snuggly, and all-around perfect!
I love this!! Your quilting is so fun and gives such great texture to the quilt!
This is a beautiful quilt, and your quilting is wonderful. Lucky baby. I hear so much about how minky stretches and the edges shred and it’s messy. What do you see as drawbacks, and why do you like it anyway?
This turned out great! I have finally decided what project I am going to try this quilting on. It will be perfect for my new table toppers in my new bedroom. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow! The quilting is just gorgeous! It makes me want to make a whole cloth quilt, but first I better learn to FMQ better than I do! Love the pink and grey combination!
So pretty and soft. Curious what type batting you used?
I love the medium gray for binding. The quilt is just absolutely beautiful. I’m excited that there will be another one in your future. That means more yummy pictures for us to look at.
A finish already, you are fast girl!! It turned out just super awesome!
The medium grey frames the quilt so beautifully, Beth! Congratulations on the finish and I look forward to seeing more of these in the future; they are wonderful eye candy.
The quilting is beautiful, Beth. What a great finish!!
Pppppfffftttttttt @ perfect! It is absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful gift for you sister and niece to be!
And, wow, here’s the finish. The grey binding does give a modern feel to the quilt. Mom and baby are going to love this one! Good job.
