Do you remember when I told you I was going to join in and quilt along with Cheryl on her Mosaic Mystery QAL? The cutting instructions were released on August 1, 2019 and although I had high hopes, there was a lot of doubt (on my part) of whether I would be able to keep up. Because, if you’ll remember, it took me two? three? years to finish the one and only mystery QAL I had ever done. (BTW, that top is still not quilted. But at least it’s ready to go when I have time to get it on the longarm.)

Well. I surprised myself and managed to keep up with all the clues as they were released. Can you believe it?? Seriously, I don’t know how that happened. Especially with everything that was going on in my home life during that time. But that’s why I love Cheryl’s QAL’s so much. They are easy, there aren’t a gazillion pieces, and the pace is slow and ‘crazy-busy-person’ friendly. Exactly the pace that works for me.

So I’m happy to report that I have all the parts and pieces of each clue done and now I’m ready to put the quilt top together. Cheryl released the assembly instructions on January 2 and we have until March 5 to sew it together! I absolutely can get it together by then, right? Right!

Stay tuned…..the next time I write about this QAL I’m positive I’ll be sharing a picture of my completed top!
Way to go, Beth! I agree that Cheryl’s QALs have a great pace, and her patterns are so good. Can’t wait to see this finish!
Gorgeous choices. How fun that amidst the insanity you were able to keep up; sometimes something like that becomes a good place to go for some “less stress, no thinking” time. Look forward to seeing this as it develops.
Love your fabrics! I agree – the reason I love Cheryl’s mysteries is the ease the monthly steps. I usually make two!
The only month I got behind was November but was able to catch up in December. I have one too together and will work on #2 this weekend.
Maybe it was *because* of all the crazy stuff going on that you sat down for a little sanity-restoring sewing of this project. I like your colors – very interesting to speculate. =)
