Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a fun weekend and your week is off to a great start. I spent the weekend sewing – it was much too cold to be out and about, so what’s a girl to do? 🙂

If you have spent any time around me and my blog, you probably already know that my favorite part of making a quilt is the actual quilting of a top. I’ve said it before (and probably will again) that I think a quilt just comes alive once I start stitching and see the yummy texture emerge.

Because I’ve spent the weekend working on the quilting of the second OSU quilt, my crush this week for Main Crush Monday is the great texture I have been seeing as I work on the quilt.

I know you have seen several shots of this quilt, especially if you follow me on Instagram, so I’m not going to show you more pics here until I have it finished. But I am going to show you the quilting because I just love it!

Quilting Texture OSU Quilt

OSU-Border

(Ignore all the pieces of thread and batting – this quilt is just now in the wash)

Sometimes straight lines is all a quilt needs. I kept the lines spaced fairly far apart so the quilt will be cuddly and soft. The border is my favorite part – I think it gives the quilt a ‘manly’ feel, which works since this quilt is going to a guy.

I hope to deliver it to its new owner today – Ohio State plays football tonight! 🙂

So, what is your MCM this week? You can link up any post or Instagram pic below. Here’s how to link up:
