This year, 2018, has been all about me trying to use the fabrics and supplies I already have and not bringing more STUFF home. STUFF that will sit around, take up space, look at me with judgmental fabric eyes, and make me feel bad that I’ve brought it home and then do nothing with it. You know what I mean, right?
Anyway, I’ve been pretty good about not bringing more fabrics home. (I haven’t been so good about using what I already have, but that’s a story for a different day.) But every once in a while I fall off the wagon and that’s when happy, squishy mail comes to my house. I just can’t help it. Especially when I get my weekly email from Fort Worth Fabric Studio. Do you get their newsletter? You should. Just sayin.
Each Friday FWFS offers a Friday Bundle of coordinating fat quarters, and a few weeks ago I ordered the bundle of the day, plus a coordinating bundle. Just look at these prints! They are so fantastic!
The colors are so rich and saturated, and I’ve fallen hard for these prints and colors. I was really good when the bundles were delivered. I put them on the shelf and told myself I had other commitments, so playing with these would have to wait. But then I got them out to take their beauty shots for you guys and almost started to drool. Seriously. Like I wanted to STOP EVERYTHING and just start cutting!! But I absolutely can’t right now, so instead I spread them all out so I could get a good look at them.
This pic doesn’t show all of them together, but it gives a good idea of how well these bundles are going to play together. If you had these fabrics on your shelf what do you think you would make with them? I have a quilt design in mind and I’ve already done the math so I’ll be ready when I can cut them. But I may change my mind – who knows? Until then, I’m going to give them a good press and hope that makes this “itch to stitch” go away for a while….
I hope you have a fun quilty weekend, and to my friends in the states on the East coast stay safe!
Just found you and it was love at first sight amazing colors .. oh my goodness!!!
It’s so hard to want to finish the old stuff when you have such pretty new things to play with. Looking forward to seeing how you decide to use those pretties.
Hi Beth! Oh, holy moly. Those polka dots of different sizes – I would just have to make something with those. I am wondering what you will make with them. Don’t let them languish too long – that would be a shame for the fabrics and for us! ~smile~ Roseanne
It is dangerous to open those emails from the fabric shops. That is a pretty bundle. I look forward to seeing what you do with it. 🙂
Yes, can’t resist from the fabric call 😉
OMG I see why you almost drooled-I think I am literally doing it now, hehe. They are so delicious looking.
Drool worthy fabric, love those greens! I want some, but like you am on a fabric diet.
