Dee is a customer who makes lovely cross stitched quilt tops. I’ve quilted several of them for her but usually forget to take pictures. This week I finished another and actually remembered to snap a few pics before delivery. Ha!

I am always impressed by the work that goes into her tops. Her stitching is always so neat and precise.

Dee likes to use a high loft polyester batting, which gives her quilts a light, airy feel. Almost like a comforter. The first few times I quilted with this batting I was a bit afraid of it, but I’ve figured out how to work with it to keep the back from puckering (baste the heck out of it) so it’s not as scary now.

The panels she uses have the quilting design pre-marked, so it’s easy quilting for me. There are times when I would like to get a bit creative with the quilting (translation – quilt it to death), but I show great restraint. 🙂

I like the way the back looks on this particular quilt. The quilting design is really easy to see.

I am pleased to have this finish for Dee and to share with you. Now I’m off to cut into some new fabric I bought yesterday – it’s calling my name!

Have a great quilty weekend,

Today I’m linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts, Whoop Whoop Friday, and TGIFF @ Faith and Fabric
