Surprise! I have a Friday Finish to share this week. Okay, it’s not really my finish but since I did the quilting I’m going to count it. 🙂
My friend Beth (we call ourselves Beth 1 and Beth 2 – I’m B2) asked me to quilt this tumbler baby quilt she made and of course I said yes. B1 made the top using an this Accuquilt die and it went together so fast, which is a good thing since the baby it is for will be here soon!
Beth chose an all over design for the quilting. It’s a swirl and heart design I’ve used before and we both loved that there are hearts sprinkled all around on the quilt top. Baby will have fun searching for the hearts when she gets older.
I’m so happy with the texture this quilting design gives. The quilt is soft and snuggly, and looks so pretty with the variegated thread. Beth even embroidered the new baby’s name on the quilt to add a little extra special touch.
Here’s one more pic of a heart, just because…
That’s it for me today! I hope you enjoyed this tour of B1’s baby tumbler quilt. I think it looks great, and I hope the new Mom is happy with the quilt she is about to receive!
I have friend name Kathleen, too. I’m K1 and shes K2; much better than going by last names when we were in grade school. That quilt is adorable and I ???? the hearts and the baby’s name on it. Fun to have a great quilting friend and collaborate with them.
Very pretty! The quilting pattern is gorgeous!
What an awesome collaboration, and it sounds like done just in time, too!
that is an interesting way to put together a tumbler quilt and haven’t seen it done like this – no matching up of the seams would make it go quickly for sure.
What a sweet quilt!! You guys make a great team – that quilting is perfect for it!
You two make a great team! Beautiful quilt and beautiful quilting!
In all the years I have longarmed, I still get amazed at how much quilting adds! Great job with it Beth.
It’s magnificent! The quilting really gave it some extra personality. I’m working on a tumbler quilt as my current leader/ender, so progress is slow. Someone gifted me with a basketful of diamonds already cut out, so I just cut them in half and eliminated the point. I hope, whenever it’s finished, it’s half as pretty as this quilt!
