Hi Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. The hubs and I were able to spend some fun time with our boys, eat lots of great food, take a few (several) naps, and generally just relax – a lot! I gave myself permission to take last week off from sewing for others; it felt like a much needed vacation. 🙂

So, during my down time, I worked on some test blocks and played with the new fabric cutter I bought for myself last month. I made HST’s and flying geese. Lots of them.

I’ve got to say, I love making HST’s with pieces cut from this cutter. They go together so perfectly and the absolute best part is that there is no trimming! Gotta love that!

I am definitely crushing on my fabric cutter this week and probably will be for a long time. It’s like being a kid again with a new toy.

The test blocks I am making are for a new pattern I’ve been working on for the last month or so. Hopefully it will be ready for release sometime in January. Yay!

Today I will get back to quilting the Twirl quilt I am making for Sister 3 – I know you guys are patiently waiting for me to finish the quilting on this monster. I can’t wait to finish it; hopefully there will be much more progress to share with you this week!

I also plan to have a Best of 2015 post to share with you in a day or so, as well as a 2016 Planning post. So I guess I better get to writing and quilting. 🙂

What are you working on during this last week of 2015? I would love to see your projects and quilty crushes. You can link up any blog post, Instagram or Flickr pic – here’s how:
